STRATO is a Layer-1 blockchain for real-world-asset DeFi, built by BlockApps. On STRATO, users own tokenized gold (GOLDST) and silver (SILVST) backed 1:1 by physical metal in audited New York City vaults, alongside bridged crypto such as ETH and BTC. They can borrow USDST, the platform stablecoin, against those assets, mint it through collateralized debt positions, swap, provide liquidity, and earn STRATO rewards, with a flat fee of 0.01 USDST per transaction. The team behind STRATO built one of Ethereum's original mainnet clients in 2014, launched the first Blockchain-as-a-Service on Microsoft Azure in 2015, issued the first real-world assets on Ethereum in 2016, and co-founded the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance. STRATO is advised by Joe Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and founder of Consensys.
