What Devcon is

Devcon is where the Ethereum community meets once a year. The Ethereum Foundation describes it as the event for people building free, open, private, and verifiable systems. Developers, researchers, founders, and community organizers spend four days on talks, workshops, and hands-on sessions.

Why STRATO is backing it

The team behind STRATO has been building on Ethereum since 2015, and Devcon has been the community's gathering point that whole time. We wanted to be part of the first one in India.

Devcon's themes line up with what we build. STRATO puts vault-backed gold and silver onchain as GOLDST and SILVST, publishes independent audits of the metal behind them, and lets you borrow USDST against your holdings without selling.

India also has one of the largest developer communities in the world. A cheaper ticket is a small way to get more of those builders into the room.
