What's on the line

Why categories change the strategy

Last time, one board meant one way to win: out-trade everybody. This time the four category boards are scored independently, from the same fills.

If you only trade gold and silver, you're not competing against the Bitcoin desk anymore — you're competing on the Commodities board against other metals traders. A specialist who never touches a single equity market can still take $500. And every fill you make still counts toward the overall board at the same time.

One trader can win the overall board and a category board. They're separate pools and separate prizes.

New this week: oil, Dogecoin and Book of Ethereum

Three new assets are joining the hourly markets during the competition week:

• Crude Oil (OIL) — priced in USD per barrel, and the first commodity on STRATO Odds that isn't a metal. It lands in the Commodities pool alongside gold and silver.
• Dogecoin (DOGE) — 24/7 hourly markets on the original memecoin.
• Book of Ethereum (BOOE) — the newest listing on the platform.

DOGE and BOOE are both crypto by the clock — no calendar stand-down, markets every hour of the week — but they fill the Wildcard pool rather than Crypto. That's deliberate. Bitcoin and Ethereum have a week of price history and a deep book behind them; a fresh memecoin market is a different game, and it gets its own $800 podium instead of being buried under BTC flow.

Each of the three goes live once the STRATO price oracle is printing it, since every market settles against an on-chain price. Watch @strato_net for the listing announcements — they land during the week, and the Wildcard board fills in as they do.

What STRATO Odds is

STRATO Odds is a prediction market on BlockApps STRATO. Every market is a yes-or-no question about a price: will gold be above $4,400 at 3 PM? Will Bitcoin hold $86,000 through the close of the hour?

You back YES or NO with USDST, the STRATO stable dollar, and every winning token pays exactly 1 USDST when the market settles against the on-chain price oracle. Fresh markets open hourly, around the clock.

Settlement and the leaderboard both read straight from the chain, so there's no separate scoreboard to trust.

How the leaderboard works

The ranking is USDST fill volume. Every dollar you actually trade against another participant during the window counts once, buying or selling, winning or losing. It's an activity contest, not a P&L contest.

Minting and merging complete sets doesn't count, because moving money in and out carries no market risk. The platform's own market maker and house wallets are excluded from every board.

New this edition: the board shows 24-hour rank movement, so you can see who's climbing. Arrows appear once the competition has been running a day. Fill volume only ever goes up — a red arrow means someone out-traded you, not that you lost ground.

The board opens at kickoff, fills in as people trade, and locks at the closing bell. One entry per person: splitting activity across wallets, or trading with yourself, disqualifies all of them. Winners are verified before anything ships, and each winner posts publicly on X that they won before their prize is sent.

Liquidity through the week

Thin books kill trading competitions, so this one comes funded. Every market opens with seed liquidity and the desk tops the books up again through the week, so depth builds as the competition runs. If there's less depth than you want when you arrive, the app tells you so.

How to get started
